GK Driving Tuition is committed to providing fair and transparent refund terms. This Refund Policy explains your rights and the procedures for cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling for driving lessons, Pass Plus, motorway lessons, refresher courses, and disability support lessons.

General Refund Principles

• All refunds are subject to the terms outlined in this policy.
• Refunds will be processed using the same payment method originally used for the booking.
• This policy is compliant with the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related legislation.
• GK Driving Tuition reserves the right to update this policy; updates will be communicated on our website or by email.

Lesson Cancellations

• Learners may cancel or reschedule lessons with at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Lessons cancelled with proper notice are fully refundable or transferable.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson may result in the lesson fee being retained at the instructor’s discretion.
• Lessons missed without notice are treated as completed, and no refund will be issued.

Block Booking Refunds

• Block bookings (e.g., 10-hour learner lesson packages) are refundable only for lessons not yet taken.
• If a block booking has been partially completed, the refund will be calculated based on remaining lessons at the original per-lesson rate.
• Refunds for unused block lessons may take up to 14 working days to process.
• Block bookings cannot be transferred to another learner without prior written approval from GK Driving Tuition.

Special Lessons Refunds

• Pass Plus Lessons: Refunds are only available for lessons not yet undertaken.
• Motorway Lessons: Refunds are applicable only for cancelled lessons with sufficient notice and where instructor availability allows rescheduling.
• Refresher Lessons: Refunds follow the same rules as general and block bookings.
• Disability Support Lessons: Refunds are possible for lessons cancelled with adequate notice, taking into account vehicle adaptations or special arrangements.

Exceptional Circumstances

• If GK Driving Tuition must cancel lessons due to instructor illness, vehicle issues, or other unavoidable circumstances, a full refund or rescheduled lesson will be offered.
• Refunds for missed lessons caused by severe weather or government restrictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Learners are encouraged to communicate any unavoidable absence or emergency as soon as possible to facilitate fair resolution.

• Learner’s name and contact details
• Booking reference or invoice number
• Reason for cancellation or refund request

Refunds will generally be processed within 14 working days of approval. Learners will be notified once the refund has been processed.

Non-Refundable Situations

• Lessons missed without prior notice.
• Partial block bookings where all lessons have been completed.
• Any lesson where the learner fails to disclose relevant medical conditions or licensing information that affects safety.
• Lessons cancelled due to learner error without adherence to the 24-hour notice policy.

Consumer Rights

• Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
• Learners retain the right to request refunds or compensation if services are not delivered as agreed or are materially different from the description provided.
• Learners can contact the Citizens Advice Bureau or Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for guidance on statutory rights.
